Sigríður Jónasdóttir was born in Eyjafjarðarsýsla on January 4, 1871. She died on January 24, 1950 in Lundar, Manitoba.
Spouse: Björn Þorsteinsson b. in Dalasýsla on August 25, 1868. He took the last name Hördal in the west, d. in the Lundar Settlement on December 2, 1956.

Sigríður Jónasdóttir came west with her parents, Jónas Halldórsson and Jóhanna Jónsdóttir, in 1878. They settled in New Iceland. Björn came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1876 with his parents, Þorsteinn Jónsson and Ragnhildur Jónsdóttir. They were first in New Iceland, but then moved about 1880 to N. Dakota. Björn and Sigríður moved to the Lundar Settlement in 1891 and lived there a few years before moving into the town of Lundar.
