Sigþrúður Guðvaldsdóttir was born in 1887 in N. Múlasýsla. She took the name Thruda Jackson in the west prior to marriage; Goodmundsson with marriage.
Sposue: August 31, 1919 Jón Hallgrímsson b. November 22, 1877 in Gimli, Manitoba, d. in Elfros, Saskatchewan on December 1, 1943. He took the last name Goodmundsson in the west.

Sigþrúður came west in 1888 with her parents, Guðvaldur Jónsson and Kristín Þorgrímsdóttir. They settled near Hensel, N. Dakota, later moved to Roseau, Minnesota, and then west to Elfros, Saskatchewan. Sigþrúður and Jón lived the longest in Elfros in Vatnabyggð (Lakes Settlement) where Jón was a store manager. Sigþrúður lived her last years in Stevensville, Ontario.
