Sveinn Sigurvin Eiríksson was born in Vopnafjörður in N. Múlasýsla on October 13, 1885. He died in White Rock, British Columbia on April 4, 1970.
Spouse: August 9, 1916 María Grímsdóttir Laxdal b. October 14, 1891 in Eyjafjarðarsýsla, d. in White Rock on June 3, 1972.

Sveinn came west to Winnipeg in 1904 with his parents, Eiríkur Björnsson and Aðalbjörg Jónsdóttir. They lived in the city and Sveinn graduated in medicine there in the spring of 1916. He first practiced in Gimli but worked in many places in Manitoba until 1954. The couple then moved west to the Pacific in their later years.
