Þórdís Þorsteinsdóttir was born in Borgarfjarðarsýsla in 1869. She died in 1948 in Winnipeg.
Spouse: 1896 í Winnipeg, Filippus Jónsson b. in Rangárvallasýsla in 1864, d. in the Lundar Settlement in 1937. He took the name Philip Johnson in the west.

Filippus came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba before 1890 and lived there the first years. Þórdís arrived there in 1894, while her sister Vilborg had come west to there in 1890. The sisters lived together the rest of their lives. The family moved to the Lundar Settlement in 1903 and bought land near Otto. They lived there until 1924 when they moved onto land near Lundar. After Filippus died, Þórdís moved to Lundar and later to Winnipeg where her children lived.
