Þórður Sigurðsson was born in Mýrasýsla on July 6, 1880. He died in Lundar on April 5, 1950.
Spouse: May 8, 1906 Guðbjörg Sigurjónsdóttir b. October 24, 1887 in Snæfellsnessýsla, d. in Lundar on October 21, 1976.

Þórður came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1900 while Guðbjörg sailed west with Grímólfur Ólafsson and his family in 1892. They settled in Mikley where Guðbjörg grew up. She moved to Winnipeg and at 18 years of age to the Lundar Settlement. Þórður took land in the community and lived there until 1913 when they moved to Lundar.
