Þórunn Björg Eiríksdóttir was born in 1865 in N. Múlasýsla. She died on June 27, 1911.

Þórunn came west to New Iceland in 1876 with her parents, Eiríkur Sigurðson and Ingunn Bjarnadóttir. Kristjón came west the same year and moved to Halldór Friðriksson in Mikley. From there he moved to the Icelandic River Settlement (Íslendingafljót) and worked for Sigtryggur Jónasson for seven years. He then moved to Mikley in 1885, took land near Vogar and named it Tjörnes. He moved from there back to Íslendingafljót where he ran a sawmill and shop for years. He moved to his land in the Víðir-Sand Hills Settlement in 1911. He sold it after nine years and moved to Árborg.
