They came west to Winnipeg in 1882 and from there moved south to N. Dakota. In 1890, the family moved west to Calgary, Alberta, lived there a few years, then moved to the Icelandic community of Markerville. They took land there about 1901, but sold it a short time later and moved back to Calgary.
