Valgerður Felixdóttir was born on June 25, 1835 in Rangárvallasýsla. She died on March 26, 1926.

They came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1886. Their road led them to the Hallson settlement in N. Dakota where they took land. They moved to another farm near Walhalla, N. Dakota. From there they headed north to Winnipegosis, Manitoba in 1902. In 1905 they moved to the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan with their son Kristján who took land in the Foam Lake settlement.
