Páll came to the West in 1903 with his parents, Jón Jónsson from Sleðbrjót and Guðrún Jónsdóttir. They settled in the Siglunes Settlement on the north side of Lake Manitoba. Páll did some work there, but then had his own farm in Vogur. He also handled freight.
