Ragnhildur Jónsdóttir was born in N. Múlasýsla on April 26, 1887. She died in Manitoba on April 18, 1958.
Spouse: December 22, 1920 Þorsteinn Guðmundsson b. in N. Múlasýsla on January 14, 1884, d. March 21, 1966 in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð).
Children: 1. fosterchild Hulda.
Ragnhildur was the daughter of Jón Jónsson from Sleðbrjót in N. Múlasýsla and his wife, Guðrún Jónsdóttir. She came west with them to Mantitoba in 1903. Þorsteinn came west to Manitoba in 1905 and studied the conditions in Manitoba. Hann returned to Iceland in 1908, probably due to the death of his father, Guðmundur Jónsson in Rjúpnafell. In 1911 he comes back west to Winnipeg, now with his mother, the widow Anna Margrét Þorsteinsdóttir, and his brothers, Páll and Björgvin. Þorsteinn then moved to the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in 1915 and started farming near Leslie.
