Ásta Jóhannsdóttir Straumfjörð was born on September 1, 1879 in Mikley. She died on September 13, 1966.
Spouse: July 16, 1911 Sigurður Ingimundur Sigurðsson b. in Mýrasýsla on October 2, 1882, d. Lundar on January 29, 1965. He was known as Ingimundur Sigurdson in the west.

Ásta was the daughter of Jóhann Elíasson Straumfjörð and Kristbjörg Jónsdóttir in the Shoal Lake settlement (Grunnavatn) in Manitoba. Sigurður came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1887 with his parents, Sigurður Sigurðsson and Bergthóra Bergthórsdóttir, and siblings. They settled in Mikley, where Sigurður grew up and when age allowed, he started fishing. In 1903 there were floods in Lake Winnipeg so the family moved west to the Lundar settlement. Sigurður took land and lived there until 1945, when he moved to Lundar.
