Arnheiður Helgadóttir was born in the Þingvalla settlement in Saskatchewan on March 24, 1889.
Spouse: May 6, 1910 Hjálmar Ólafsson b. March 9, 1887 in N. Múlasýsla. He was registered as Loftson in the west.

Arnheiður was the daughter of Helgi Árnason and Guðrún Jónsdóttir, early settlers in the Þingvalla settlement. Hjálmar came west with his mother, Anna Hjálmarsdóttir, to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1906 and moved from there to the Þingvalla settlement. His father, Ólafur Loftsson, had arrived there, having come west in 1888. Hjálmar worked in Churchbridge, then in a bank in Bredenbury but then settled in Foam Lake in the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð).
