Sigríður Stefánsdóttir was born in N. Múlasýsla in 1862. She died on September 17, 1943 in Winnipeg.
Spouse: 1887 Stefán Oddleifsson was born in Strandasýsla in 1864. He died on March 13, 1903 in a house fire in the Hnausa Settlement.

Sigríður emigrated west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1876 with her parents, Stefán Þorsteinsson and Sigurborg Stefánsdóttir. Stefán emigrated to Winnipeg in 1885. He worked there a number of years doing carpentry and trade. Stefán and Sigríður settled in the Hnausa Settlement. After the fire in 1903, Sigríður moved to the Geysir Settlement and stayed with Bjarni Ólafsson at Gullbring. He had recently lost his wife, Solveig Guðmundsdóttir. Sigríður was Bjarni’s housekeeper and inherited his estate. She lived at Gullbring but later moved to live with her son Unnar in Winnipeg.
