Oddfríður went to Denmark the same year and from there west to Canada where she married Guðmundur. They moved to Spanish Fork around the turn of the century and lived there for several years. Guðmundur had a photography studio and a small shop there. From there, the road led to San Diego, where Guðmundur sold real estate.
