Ingibjörg Valdimarsdóttir was born in 1874 in N. Múlasýsla. She took the last name Johnson in the west.
Spouse: 1) Guðmundur Sigurðsson d. in Iceland 2) Valdimar Jónsson b. February 12, 1870 in Eyjafjarðarsýsla.

Ingibjörg came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1887 with her son Valdimar. From there, they made their way to N. Dakota. Valdimar came west to N. Dakota in 1878 at the age of eight with his mother, Guðrún Halldórsdóttir. Valdimar and Ingibjörg lived in N. Dakota for the first few years, but in the 1900 census they lived in Pohlizt Township of Roseau County, Minnesota. Hallfríður, Ingibjörg’s daughter, came there from Iceland in 1903. Later the family moved west to the Pacific Ocean and in the 1920 census in Washington, she is registered in Blaine.
