In 1900, Jón is registered as living in Ballard, Washington but moved from there back to Minnesota and lived in Ivanhoe in Lincoln County where he enlisted in the Army in 1914. In 1920, he is married and living there, but ten years later he is a carpenter living in Minneapolis.
