Guðný Jónsdóttir was born in S. Þingeyjarsýsla in 1881. She died in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan in 1924.
Spouse: 1910 Indriði Guðmundsson b. in Borgarfjarðarsýsla in 1876, d. 1940. He took the last name Skordal in the west.

Indriði came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1900. From there, he moved to the Argyle Settlement in 1903. He took land in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) and settled there in 1905. He was near Kandahar and Dafoe. Guðný came west to Winnipeg in 1905 with her daughter Helga. They moved onward to the west to the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan.
