Sigríður Jónsdóttir was born at Mýri in S. Þingeyjarsýsla in 1896.
Spouse: April 18, 1916 Baldur Haraldsson b. in Winnipeg on April 2, 1888, d. there on September 14, 1952. He had the name Baldur H. Olson in the west.

Sigríður came west in 1900 with her brother, Hallgrímur. Their father, Jón Jónsson from Mýri, came west as a widower with seven of his children in 1903. Sigríður was fostered by Jóhann Gottfreð Þorgeirsson and Hallfríður Jónsdóttir, his aunt. Baldur was the son of Haraldur Jóhannesson and Karítas Einarsdóttir who came to Winnipeg in 1882. Baldur became a doctor in Winnipeg. Baldur and Sigríður were musical, she played the piano and they both sang in the choir of the First Lutheran Church in Winnipeg.
