They came west in 1900 to Winnipeg, Manitoba and from there went on to Mountain, N. Dakota. They were there for two years but moved west to Sherwood, just south of the border between N. Dakota and Saskatchewan. Þorleifur took land there and they lived there for 11 years. The land was not good, they returned and now went to Crystal which is just south of Mountain. They were there for five years but then moved north to Big Point, Manitoba in the spring of 1918. There Þorleifur bought land and prospered.
