Karólína Kristjánsdóttir was born in N. Þingeyjarsýsla in 1879. She died in Manitoba on June 25, 1950. She took the name Caroline Anderson in the west.
Spouse: Sigfús Árnason b. in N. Þingeyjarsýsla in 1874, d. at Betel care home in Gimli in 1957. He took the name Sigfus Anderson in the west.
Children: 1. Kristján b. in Iceland (Alli Anderson in the west) 2. Árni b. 1903 in Iceland 3. Guðný b. in Vestfold, Manitoba 4. Halldór b. in Winnipeg 5. Marcella b. in Winnipeg 1913, d. 1937.
They came west in 1905 and settled in Vestfold, Manitoba. They lived there until 1910 but then they moved to Winnipeg where Sigfús worked for Manitoba Gypsum Co. From there they went to the Árnes Settlement in New Iceland in 1922 but then moved to the Brown Settlement in southern Manitoba in 1924. In 1931 they settled in the Lundar Settlement where Sigfús took land and they stayed there until 1948. Then they went to Kristján, their son in Eriksdale, just north of Lundar, where he was a farmer.
