Rannveig Þorláksdóttir Mynd VÍÆ III
Rannveig Þorláksdóttir was born in S. Þingeyjarsýsla on July 19, 1855. She died in Winneconne, Wisconsin on December 12, 1931.
Spouse: Tönnes A. Miller of Norwegian ancestry. Rev. Páll Þorláksson, a newly ordained paster, married them in Shawano, Wisconsin in 1875.
Children: 1. John Miller. Information is missing on another son as well as five daughters who survived their mother.
Rannveig came to the West in 1873 with her parents, Þorlákur Jónsson and Lovísa Níelsdóttir. They settled in Wisconsin and lived in Shawano. They moved from there in 1879 and settled in Mountain, N. Dakota. Rannveig moved from there with her family in 1883, took land south of Mountain but moved back to Winneconne, Wisconsin after a few years. Rannveig lived there the rest of her life with her children.
