Vilhjálmur Bjarni Jónsson was born in the Westmann Islands (Vestmannaeyjar) on December 22, 1886. He died in 1887. Vilhjálmur’s parents, Jón Jónsson and Vilborg Jónsdóttir, emigrated from Vestmannaeyjar on a path to Utah in 1887, but young Vilhjálmur didn’t arrive. He died at sea on the Atlantic Ocean.
