Tómas Sæmundsson was born in Gullbringusýsla in 1886. He was the son of Sæmundur Sigurðsson and Steinunn Arinbjörnsdóttir who came west in 1893 to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Tómas was 18 years old when he took land in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan in. He later sold his land and moved west to the Pacific.

Bjarni Dagsson was born in Snæfelsnessýsla in 1844. Spouse: 1873 Sigríður Eggertsdóttir b. 1845 in Húnavatnssýsla. Children: 1. Steinvör Arnfríður b. 1873 2. Guðný b. 1874 3. Sigurlaug. They came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1883 and moved on to the Fjalla settlement in N. Dakota the same year. Some time later, Bjarni moved to other land near Mountain.

Jón Gunnlaugur Kristjánsson was born in New Iceland, likely in 1878. Spouse: Margrét Kristín Anna b. in N.
