Jónas Jónatansson was born in N. Þingeyjarsýsla in 1853. Died August 23, 1883 in Chathham, Ontario. Unmarried and childless. He came west to Ontario, Canada in 1873 and likely spent the first year in Kinmount. He then moved to Alvinston, London and Chatham in Ontario.
