Páll Gunnlaugsson was born in Skagafjarðarsýsla in 1843. Spouse: Nanna Jónsdóttir b. 1848. Children: 1. Theodór b. 1874 2. Jón Jörgen b. 1875. They emigrated west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1876. They were there for a few years and then moved to the Víðirnes Settlement in New Iceland.
