Konráð Eyjólfsson fæddist í Húnavatnssýslu árið 1857. Maki: 1) 1888 Guðbjörg Sveinsdóttir f. 1863, d. 1891 í Saskatchewan. 2) 1894 María Guðbrandsdóttir f. 1863. Konráð og Guðbjörg fluttu vestur til Winnipeg í Manitoba árið 1887 og gengu þar í hjónaband ári síðar.  Þau fluttu árið 1889 í Þingvallabyggð í Saskatchewan.
