Sigurbjörg Sigurðardóttir was born in Húnavatnssýsla in 1818. She was the widow of Jón Jónsson in Húnavatnssýsla. Children: 1. Guðbjörg b. 1847 2. Egill b. 1850. Sigurbjörg came west in 1887 with her daughter Guðbjörg and her family. They travelled to Winnipeg.
