Helga Sigríður Ingjaldsdóttir was born in Eyjafjarðarsýsla on December 3, 1838. She died in Saskatchewan in 1930. Helga was a widow when she came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba together with her foster daughter, Jóhanna Rósa Jónsdóttir, in 1888. They moved to the Hólar settlement in Saskatchewan and Helga lived with the couple, Tryggvi Þorsteinsson and Jóhanna.

Margrét Sæmundsdóttir was born in 1855 in Húnavatnssýsla, d. about 1907 in N. Dakota. Spouse: 1) Guðmundur Þorsteinn Þorsteinsson b. 1854, d. in Iceland 2) Jósteinn Halldórsson b.
