Anna Friðriksdóttir was born in Dalasýsla on March 24, 1892. She died in the Grunnavatn Settlement in Manitoba in 1910. Unmarried and childless. Anna came west to Winnipeg in 1903 with her parents, Friðrik Kristmannsson and Elín Jónasdóttir. They first lived for some time in the city, but moved in 1907 to the Grunnavatn Settlement.
