Salgerður Jónsdóttir was born on December 28, 1869 in W. Skaftafellssýsla. She died in Spanish Fork on January 24, 1894. Unmarried and childless. Salgerður was the daughter of Ingiríður Einarsdóttir who came west to Utah in 1892. Salgerður probably emigrated before her mother, possibly with her sister Vilborg in 1887.
