Jóhanna Jósefsdóttir was born in 1803 in Skagafjarðarsýsla. Spouse: Skúli Tómasson d. in Iceland. Children: Hafsteinn b. 1829. Jóhanna emigrated west to Ontario, Canada in 1874 with her son Hafsteinn and his daughter. They spent the first winter in Kinmount.
