Guðmundur Kristján Jónatansson was born in Dalasýsla on June 25, 1885. Spouse: Una Pétursdóttir b. 1884 in Borgarfjarðarsýsla. Childless. He came west to Winnipeg in 1912 and lived there. He worked various jobs e.g., surveying the northern northern wilderness. He moved home to Iceland in 1930.
