Þorleifur Pétursson was born in N. Múlasýsla in 1867. Unmarried and childless. Þorleifur came west in 1883 with his mother Sigríður Þorleifsdóttir, her husband Jón Sigurðsson, and siblings. They moved to Winnipeg and then to Brown. Þorleifur bought land there and lived there a few years, but then moved to Winnipeg. His life’s road then led him to Churchbridge, Saskatchewan.
