Einar Sigurðsson was born in N. Múlasýsla on February 12, 1888. He died on November 18, 1958.

Einar came to the West alone in 1914 and after some searching, he found land near Churchbridge, Saskatchewan. This was in 1919 and he farmed there until 1942. He then sold the land and settled in Winnipeg. He was very involved in the social affairs of his countrymen in the region and regularly sent translations to the Icelandic weekly newspapers in Winnipeg. Einarína came west when she was a few months old in 1891 with her parents Björn Þorleifsson and Þórunn Inghildur Einarsdóttir. They settled in the Þingvalla settlement in Saskatchewan.
