Stefanía came west in 1901 with her daughter, Guðrún Björg Hallgrímsdóttir, age 10 years.
Ófeigur was the son of Ketill Þorsteinsson and Lúcía Ófeigsdóttir who came west in 1891. The family went to Churchbridge, Saskatchewan and then lived in White Sand River until 1898. Ófeigur moved from there to Foam Lake in 1902 when he settled on land near the village of Leslie. He was a farmer there.
