Unmarried and childless
Regína grew up in Skeiðir and worked there in farm work before moving to Reykjavík. She came to the West in 1926, with his mother, Eyvör Eiríksdóttir. Her father, Guðmundur Sigurðsson, had already arrived there and the family settled near Reykjavík in Manitoba. She then moved to Winnipeg in 1938 where she worked in a hospital.
