Baldur Thorarinn Danielson was born in Arborg on February 17, 1917.

Baldur was the son of Guðjón Sófóníus Daníelsson and Una Guðlaugur Þórarinsdóttir, who were both born in Iceland. He attended secondary school from 1925-1932, last at Bjarmaskóli. He built a sawmill which he ran for years. He then became director of the timber trade department of the Consumers Co-op in Árborg. Ingibjörg’s parents were Þorgrímur J Pálsson and Guðrún Helgadóttir in Árborg.
