Friðjón Friðriksson was born in Norður-Þingeyjarsýsla August 21, 1849. Died in Winnipeg August 17, 1913. Fredrickson in Canada.
Spouse: July 10, 1873 Guðný Sesselja Sigurðardóttir b. in Norður-Þingeyjarsýslu in 1857, d. March 9, 1949.
Children: 1. Aurora b. in Gimli September 4. september, 1877 2. Kári b. October 15, 1888 in Glenboro 3. Haraldur b. 1892 in Glenboro, d. 1967.
They emigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1873. From there they moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin but returned Ontario and early 1875 Friðjón was managing Sigtryggur Jónasson´s store in Kinmount. From there they joined the first group headed for New Iceland in 1875 where they resided the next five years. They left New Iceland and took the first train from there to Glenboro in 1886. Here they opened a store and did well until 1906 when they moved to Winnipeg to live.
