Ingibjörg Sveinsdóttir was born in Hjaltastaðaþinghá on June 4, 1884. She took the name Emma von Renessee with her second marriage.
Spouse: 1) May 26, 1906 Björn Eyjólfsson b. July 24, 1882 in S. Múlasýsla, d. in New Iceland on August 10, 1924 2) January 14, 1926 Hermann von Renessee b. in Germany on April 9, 1882, d. February 3, 1953.

Ingibjörg was the daughter of Sveinn Guðmundsson Borgfjörð and Þorbjörg Guðmundsdóttir who came west in 1894 and settled in the Swan Lake settlement (Álftavatnsbyggð) in Manitoba. She attended elementary and junior high school in Lundar, then moved to Winnipeg to work. She and Björn first lived in the Geysir Settlement but moved to Gimli in 1908 and opened a barber shop and restaurant. In 1914, they moved to Arborg and from there to Lundar. Ingibjörg was always involved in Icelandic organizations and associations. Her second husband ran a creamery in Arborg.
