Jónína Sigurmunda Daníelsdóttir was born on September 26, 1879 in Eyjafjarðarsýsla.
Spouse: 1) 1898 Jóhannes Davíðsson b. 1870 in Eyjafjarðarsýsla, d. 1938 in Leslie. 2) October 12, 1945 Sigurður Guðmundsson b. in Skagafjarðarsýsla on September 19, 1882.
Children: Coming west with them in 1913 was Jóhannes’ 11-year-old niece, Steinunn Ingibjörg Guðmundsdóttir b. March 16, 1902 in Eyjafjarðarsýsla. She lived with them until adulthood.
They came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1900, where they lived for five years. They moved from there to the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan and took land near Foam Lake where they lived for seven years, until 1912. They then moved back to Iceland but didn’t like it and returned to Vatnabyggð in Saskatchewan a year later. They lived in the village of Leslie for the next three years, then bought land nearby. Sigurður came west in 1906 lived in various places in Manitoba until 1927. Then he moved to the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan.
