Rósa Sæunn Sveinsdóttir was born on January 12, 1864 in Skagafjarðarsýsla. She died in the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan on August 17, 1937.

Spouse: 1890 Magnús Bjarnason b. in Skagafjarðarsýsla on November 7, 1863, d. June 14, 1928 in Saskatchewan. He was sometimes called Magnus Black of the West because of his blacksmithing work.

Children: 1. Þórarinn b. in N. Dakota on December 9, 1890, d. September 4, 1961 2. Hólmfríður Sigrún b. in N. Dakota on November 25, 1893, d. May 3, 1965 in Vancouver 3. Anna Sigríður b. September 20, 1895 in N. Dakota, d. March 9, 1931 4. Bismarck b. October 5, 1896 in N. Dakota 5. Otto William b. May 3, 1898 in N. Dakota 6. Magnús b. October 13, 1901 in Manitoba 7. Bjarni Sveinn b. July 25, 1905 in the Lundar settlement.

Magnús came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1887. He moved to Mountain, N. Dakota and from there to Hallson where he lived until 1899. They moved north to the Siglunes settlement in Manitoba but moved from there following a flood of Lake Manitoba in 1901 to the Lundar settlement. In 1915, he moved to land in the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan.
