Sigríður Bjarnadóttir was born at Gröf in Víðidal in Húnavatnssýsla on March 22, 1864. She died on April 9, 1941 in Grand Forks, N. Dakota.
Spouse: Guðmundur Jónsson b. February 18, 1849 in Gullbringusýsla, d. Mountain, N. Dakota on June 1, 1926 in N. Dakota.
Children: 1. Anna Kristrún b. December 21, 1889 2. Bjarni Valtýr 3. Guðrún Ingibjörg 4. Sólveig Aldís 5. Óskar Tryggvi 6. Elín Þorbjörg 7. Bjarney Jensína d. at 18 years. Two other children died at birth.
Sigríður came west to N. Dakota in 1887 and married Guðmundur sometime later. He came west in 1887 and first moved to Chicago where his sister lived. A year later he moved to land near Svold, N. Dakota, where he lived for seven years. He sold it and moved to Mountain. In the spring of 1913, the family moved north to Saskatchewan, Canada, settling near the town of Climax in the southwest corner of the province. Guðmundur lived there until 1920, when he returned to Mountain, N. Dakota, where he died.
