Stefán Stefánsson was born in Rangárvallasýsla on June 8, 1877.
Unmarried and childless.
Stefán came to the West in 1903 and settled in Winnipeg. He had been fishing in Iceland, so he began in his first winter fishing in Lake Winnipeg. A year later he went north to Moose Lake where he continued fishing in the winter and did construction work in the summer.
