Vilfríður Haraldsdóttir Hólm was born on December 3, 1894 in Eyjafjarðarsýsla.
Spouse: February 21, 1919 Unnsteinn Vilberg Sigurðsson b. in the Fljóts settlement in New Iceland on September 21, 1892. He was the son of Sigurður Eyjólfsson. He is registered as Eyjólfsson in the west.

Vilfríður’s parents were Haraldur Sigurðsson Hólm and Helga Gunnlaugsdóttir. They came west in 1907. Vilfríður completed her teacher’s degree in Brandon and taught in the Víðir settlement and elsewhere. Unnsteinn bought the land in the Víðir-Sand Hills settlement from the Hudson Bay Company. He worked as a land surveyor in Manitoba and Saskatchewan for 12 years, was a municipal councilor in Bifröst for 16 years, and practiced veterinary medicine in Arborg.
