Jónas Jónsson fæddist í Húnavatnssýslu árið 1849. Maki: Margrét Jónsdóttir Börn: 1. Jón f. 1877 2. Sveinn f. 1882. Þau fluttu vestur til Winnipeg í Manitoba árið 1888 og settust að á landi í Akrabyggð sem Sigurður Jóhannsson hafði upprunalega numið. Seinna keypti Jónas annað land í sömu byggð og bjó þar.

Jónas Skúlason was born in Húnavatnssýsla in 1829. Unmarried and childless. He emigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1888 and traveled on to New Iceland. He took land in the Víðirnes Settlement and named his farm Fjón, where he lived for 12 years. He moved to Selkirk in 1899.

Sveinn Jónasson was born on April 15, 1882 in Húnavatnssýsla. He died in the war in France on March 30, 1918. Unmarried and childless.
