Ísleifur Sigurðsson was born on December 10, 1842 in Rangárvallasýsla. Spouse: May 9, 1873 Guðrún Gunnarsdóttir, d. August 20, 1875. Childless. Ísleifur came west in 1886 and traveled to Winnipeg. He moved from there to Dieter Township in Roseau County, Minnesota where he is listed as a widower in 1900.
