Jósefína Rósa Jónsdóttir was born in Dalasýsla on July 23, 1887. Child. She came west 1888 with her parents, Jón Gíslason and Halldóra Jósepsdóttir. They settled in the Hallson Settlement in N. Dakota. Little is known about Jósefína’s life in the west.  

Þorbergur Arinbjörn Þorvarðsson was born in Dalasýsla on November 28, 1888. He died in Winnipeg on September 6, 1915. Unmarried and childless. He came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1911.
