Kristín came west to N. Dakota with her son Sveinn in 1885 and they settled in the Thingvalla Settlement.

Kristín Sigurðardóttir was born on March 24, 1862 in Dalasýsla. She died in the West on September 28, 1885. Unmarried and childless. Kristín was the daughter of Sigurður Jónsson of Skógsmúla and his wife Rósa Andrésdóttir. She came west after 1880 but her life after that is unknown.

Kristbjörg Sigurðardóttir was born in Dalasýsla on October 17, 1885. Child. She came west to Manitoba in 1887 with her parents, Sigurður Erlendsson and Hólmfríður Steindórsdóttir, and siblings. They settled in Selkirk. Information on Kristbjörg’s life in the west is missing.

Dakota. It is likely that Kristbjörg died shortly after coming to the west because she is not mentioned in western records like her siblings.

Dakota, near Hallson.
